There is no shortage of sources for weather information, that is true, but this one may be the most fun. guiWeather adds tools to Google Earth like a Radar tool, a Current Conditions tool, Global Lightning, Watches and Warnings, and, coming soon, Tropical Weather. I hope that one comes before the first hurricane.
