There are multiple ways to get rapid-fire access to the apps you use most often, but this is one of the best. It's lightweight (i.e. won't slow down your device); it's very easy to set up and use; it stays out of the way when you don't need it, and it looks great on top of all that.

Just tap on the one you want and it slides out with the apps you set up.
