Documents to Go 2.0 (Android) - View Office 2007 docs free

Without getting into whether or not the ubiquity of Office documents is a good thing, here's an app for android phones that will let you view Word and Excel docs for free. The paid version lets you view, edit and create Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint files as well as view Adobe PDF files.

Microsoft Theme Builder - Creates document themes for Office 2007

It's sometimes necessary to prepare MS Office documents with common themes for the boss or whatnot. This application lets you choose themes that will cut across lines. From the website:

UBitMenu - For those who hate the Office 2007 ribbon

I can't hear or read the word "ribbon" without remembering the line from Seinfeld, "Who won't wear ze ribbon?" In any case, there are many folks who hate the ribbon, and for you there's an application that'll give you a "Menu" entry letting you get to an Office 2003 classic menu.

Stay Compatible with MS Word 2007

If you have an earlier version of MS Word (XP, 2003), and your friends and coworkers are using 2007, you may have trouble opening files created in the new version. Unless your friends happen to be courteous enough to save their files in a version you can open, but how likely is that?

Stay compatible by downloading the Word, Excel and PowerPoint Compatibility Pack and installing it. Then you can open and work with the 2007 file types.
