I'm always... I mean ALWAYS, looking for a great new screenshot tool. I've tried many, kept a couple, but this one looks like it's got tons of annotation/editing tools, which are a big part of the utility of an application like this. I have a fascination with screen capture utilities. I tend to shy away from the ones that have everything but the kitchen sink thrown in since they suck up your machine's resources, but this one has some very useful features without being resource intensive.

I love screencapture software, use it every day. This particular app has some nice features that put it high on my list of choices. Developer's description:

Watermark Images - Free image watermarking tool

Today I spilled some Taco Bell Fire sauce on some work papers. Had to try to clean it with water. Left water marks. Not what we're talking about here. Let's say you're a blogger and take the time to put a nice screenshot of an app on your post. You don't want somebody just coming along and taking your carefully contrived screenshot and using it for their own purposes. No way. So you do the equivalent of spitting on your food. Jing: Screen Captures and Screencasts Made Easy

I have to tell you, this looks like a fabulous download. Called Jing, the application lets you create and share screen captures (with lots of annotations) and screencasts with simplicity and ease.

I've never created a screencast, but I can easily see how useful they can be. They're great when you need to see how to do something on your computer, and since I offer computer tips and tutorials on my blogs, Jing seems like it will be a fine fit.

Once you've created your screen capture or screencast, all you have to do is click "Share," and you'll have a link automatically added to your clipboard, which you can then paste into an email, an IM, or your blog.
