Find out which apps you've recently installed with Recently Installed (Android)


Developer Quote: "Many times we download apps we find interesting from the Play Store and as time adds up we often forget what apps we downloaded. It is the most difficult task to find recently downloaded apps from the hundreds of other apps on your device. Recently Installed makes your life easier by maintaining a list of all the apps you downloaded by date and sorts them by the most recent app first."

That pretty much says it folks, but let me repeat in my own words. This happens to me all the time. I install an app, it goes into my app drawer, then I want to use it. What was the apps name? Can't remember. Do I want to go through my entire inventory of apps to find it? Even assuming I'd recognize it when I see it? That's a big fat NO! Hence the inestimable usefulness of this app!

People Lookup - Firefox Add-on searches across multiple sites

Here's a quick way to get the goods on people you find as you travel the web. With this add-on you highlight the name, right-click on it, and click the "Look them up" option. Or press Ctrl+Alt+p. Depending on the options you've selected, you'll get tabs opening to show LinkedIn, Facebook, Google, etc. searches for the name you highlighted.

Let Me Google That For You

When friends and family members ask you to find something for them on the web, what's your sarcastic response? I kind of like "If only there were an easy way to find what you're looking for, you know, like a search engine or something."

If you're polite, you don't say that. Instead, you do a Google search and email them the resulting link. If you're a total idiot you actually refine the search and send them one of two of the best results.

Well, here's website you can use instead. Type in your search terms and the result can be shortened to a tiny url. Send that to your friend. When the click on it they can get the results, along with a message.

Retailers now have even more reason to fear. Google has now empowered the mighty shopper and provided the simplest of means for him to comparison shop right in the store.

The savvy shopper points his/her Android-based phone's camera at a book, CD, etc., scan its barcode, or just speak its name, and Google Shopper brings back information and pricing results.

The old web is still useful, but if you want to know what's going on right NOW, you have to put your mouth to the firehose of the real-time web. Twitter and other social networking sites like it are up-to-the-second when it comes to what's going on in the world and in people's heads. The Wikitude World Browser, which just put out version 4 out on the Android Market, is an augmented reality travel guide that lets you search for points of interest through your camera with special overlays or the built-in search engine. According to the developer:
